The Opportunity

We are working with a highly respected and fast-growing provider of domiciliary optical care, currently seeking a qualified and compassionate Optometrist to join their Durham team. This organisation is on a mission to make high-quality eye care accessible to those who are unable to visit the high street. Using cutting-edge mobile equipment and supported by a strong clinical team, this is a chance to make a genuine difference to people\'s lives — all while enjoying an improved work-life balance.

The Role

As an Optometrist, you\'ll deliver essential eye care services to patients in the comfort of their own homes. The role allows for longer appointment times than typical practice settings, giving you the space to build strong relationships with patients and provide truly patient-centred care. You\'ll see around 7 patients per day, supported by advanced technology including:

  • Digital fundus camera
  • Mobile slit lamp
  • I-care tonometer
  • An industry-leading digital records system (no paperwork)

The company promotes autonomy in clinical decision-making, while also offering remote support from senior optometrists when needed.

Why Consider This Role

  • Flexible working - Choose a schedule that suits your lifestyle (4 or 5 days per week).
  • Meaningful work - Make a direct impact on individuals who truly value your service.
  • Full support - CPD opportunities, access to higher qualifications, and a dedicated head office team to back you up.
Ideal Candidate

You\'ll be a GOC-registered Optometist with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. Previous domiciliary experience is welcome but not essential — full training is provided.
