Qualifications

• Previous experience is desirable but not necessary as full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Performing Visual Acuity Tests on patient.
• Measuring Eye pressures using ORA.
• Measuring patients vital signs.
• Blood Sugar testing on diabetic patients.
• Ordering consumables.
• Assisting with maintaining the department according to trust standards.
• Assisting patients with their appointments.
• Preparing the Cataract Theatre for surgical lists.
• Circulating in the Cataract Theatre during procedures.
• The processing of used trays and instruments following cataract surgery.
• Maintaining stock levels within the cataract theatre.
