Payments Operations Manager, UPUK
Overview

Reporting to the COO, this role will be responsible for the management of operations within Uber Payments UK, a UK-based Electronic Money Institution (EMI). This role will be key in ensuring compliance with FCA regulations and industry best practices, and as part of that will have the opportunity to collaborate with multiple stakeholders across different locations on critical projects.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with specific regulatory mandates impacting UPUK’s operations, such as Operational Resilience, Consumer Duty, Outsourcing, Business Continuity, Cyber Security, and Privacy
  • Be the lead POC for UPUK operations with service delivery teams within Uber Technologies, Inc.; set UK requirements and ensure service delivery in accordance with those requirements
  • Own the Service Level Schedules and ensure they are kept up to date
  • Own the ongoing operational programs, create & execute implementation plans to ensure regulated operations remain efficient and support UPUK’s customers
  • Identify gaps and implement required changes to operational processes and SOPs to ensure efficiency and compliance
  • Support external and internal audits to identify and address gaps in UPUK’s operations
  • Be the lead on UPUK Ops policies and SOP framework
  • Collaborate with compliance, legal, engineering, Payment Ops, and CommOps teams.
  • Collaborate with LoBs on new products and initiatives impacting UPUK
