A leading Private Equity firm in London is seeking a Head of Operations for a 12-month FTC. The role involves full oversight of the UK operations, including finance, HR, compliance, and IT. Ideal candidates will have senior operations experience in Private Equity and strong engagement skills with stakeholders in London and New York. This position offers significant autonomy and senior-level exposure. A competitive salary of £80-100k plus package is offered.

We are supporting a global Private Equity firm to appoint a senior Head of UK Operations on a 12-month FTC, based in their Mayfair office and reporting to the UK Managing Partner and working closely with New York HQ.

This is a broad, high-impact operational leadership role with full responsibility for the UK office, spanning operations, compliance, finance, HR, facilities, IT and major projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Full ownership of the UK operational function and smooth day-to-day running of the London office
  • Leading an office fit-out project and managing key contractors and landlords
  • Oversight of FCA reporting, SMCR, record keeping and liaison with UK compliance advisers and New York
  • Management of UK accounting, budgets, cost control and expenditure sign-off
  • Full local HR lifecycle including compliance, employee relations, benefits and visas
  • Responsibility for facilities, IT, Health & Safety and contractor management
  • Delivery of UK projects including office expansion, events and charity initiatives
The Ideal Candidate
  • Senior operations professional from Private Equity, Investment Management or a comparable professional services environment
  • Strong experience across UK regulatory, compliance and operational frameworks
  • Commercial, highly organised and comfortable operating with full accountability
  • Confident engaging with senior stakeholders in both London and New York
