Overview

My client an FMCG leader with global reach based from a main site in Birmingham are seeking a Operations Manager

My client an FMCG leader based in Birmingam supplies into all major highstreet retailers, the public sector as well as leading subscription services.

Responsibilities

• Own day to day operations of the unit in order to maximize use of resources and develop the management team
• Provide direct and indirect leadership as well motivation for all staff improvement programmes to maintain good employee relationships
• Control the annual budget and agree with the Operations Director to ensure all financial targets and KPIs are met with regards to; operational budgets, labor targets, cost control and recoveries
• Line manage Production Managers, Engineering Manager, Logistics Manager and the Stock/Hygiene Manager
• Drive process and the lean culture with focus on lean principles of reducing wastes, improving yield and efficient working methods and processes

Desirable / Qualifications

• Have demonstrable track record of leading a 24/7 operation within an FMCG (ideally perishable) setting
• Have led Engineering, Production and Logistics functions

Upto £80,000 plus benefits
