Role Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic, commercially minded Operations Director to lead VEA FMs operational and business development activities across the UK. This senior leadership role combines strategic operational management with growth-focused business development, ensuring service excellence, compliance, and operational efficiency while expanding our client base.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership:

  • Oversee all operational aspects of FM across the UK.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Drive service delivery excellence, compliance, and client satisfaction.
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and KPIs.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Promote Health, Safety, Environmental, and Legal compliance.
  • Implement continuous improvement and technology-driven solutions.

Business Development:

  • Lead FM business development strategy to achieve growth targets.
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new Hard and Soft FM opportunities.
  • Build and maintain client and partner relationships.
  • Develop tenders and proposals, and negotiate key contracts.
  • Analyse market trends to inform strategic decisions.

Strategic Leadership:

  • Contribute to corporate strategy, governance, and business planning.
  • Execute new growth initiatives and report on operational performance.
  • Embed a high-performance, inclusive culture across teams.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Degree in Business Administration, Facilities Management, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 15 years senior operational management experience within FM.
  • Proven business development and client acquisition experience.
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting and strategic planning.
  • Knowledge of CAFM systems and performance reporting.
  • Level 7 IWFM qualification or equivalent preferred.
