A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE
Position Overview: As an Operations Director with DHL Supply Chain, you will lead strategic initiatives in budget and resource management, operational performance, and talent development, all while interfacing with customers to negotiate and resolve their needs. In this pivotal role, you will establish annual and multi-year priorities and growth targets for each opportunity, skillfully balancing the diverse needs of multiple sites and customers.
People Leadership: You will champion deep team engagement, nurturing a sense of ownership and commitment among team members, ensuring they feel fully aligned and invested in our shared vision. Your leadership will inspire and empower the team, creating a warm environment where everyone feels valued and motivated to contribute to our collective success.
Operational Leadership: Through your team of General Managers, you will oversee world-class safe operations that deliver value through a clear continuous improvement agenda, ensuring we consistently delight our customers.
Customer Relationship Management: Serve as the primary interface for customer negotiations and issue resolution, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance and deepen customer relationships.
Contract Negotiation: Lead customer contract negotiations and manage third-party supplier negotiations, all while maintaining strict budget oversight.
Business Strategy Development: Connected to industry trends and market forces, formulate and execute plans to grow your business area.
Complex Problem Solving: Foster cooperation and partnership to provide integrated solutions to complex challenges, delivering clear and effective communication, collaboration, and influence to drive transformational change.
