Job description

As a Operations Assistant based in Cardiff you will be responsible for:

Responsibilities
  • Working within a yard environment picking/packing goods
  • Providing a high level of customer service by supplying the correct materials
  • Checking goods‑in are correctly delivered against delivery notes and goods are booked in on the Wolseley System, then put away accurately and safely
  • Accurately picking and labelling goods booked out to customers and other branches using Wolseley System, ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed
  • Maintaining standards of housekeeping and adhere to health and safety guidelines, including manual handling techniques, use of loading equipment and PPE
Qualifications
  • Industry or merchant experience is advantageous but not essential
  • Proven experience in customer service / warehouse environments
  • Good communication skills
  • A dependable team player approach, prepared to support in all areas of the branch with a strong work ethic
  • Eagerness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and be prepared to work outside up to 80% of the time
