Operational Risk Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Operational Risk Manager to support the Head of Risk in strengthening and overseeing the organisation’s operational risk framework. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring risks are identified, assessed, monitored, and effectively mitigated across all business functions.

The successful candidate will help drive continuous improvement in risk processes, maintain and enhance risk registers, conduct risk assessments, perform second line controls, and guide stakeholders in making informed decisions to reduce operational risk exposure.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to identify, measure, and monitor operational risks.
• Conduct business impact assessments and support the implementation of effective control measures.
• Perform quarterly second line controls, ensuring risks are appropriately managed and developing action plans for any emerging issues.
• Lead the annual Operational Risk Mapping process, applying Basel risk categories to ensure comprehensive risk coverage.
• Test the adequacy and effectiveness of first-line controls, highlighting improvements and corrective actions where needed.
