Overview

We are looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. You will work in a fast paced retail environment where no day is the same and play an important role in day-to-day store operations by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments and maintaining the store's appearance. You will help ensure the store remains a safe place to work and shop.

Responsibilities
  • Know and serve customers with passion and pride, delivering great natural service.
  • Encourage customers to provide feedback on their shopping trip through the "have your say" survey.
  • Work across all areas of the store including online, tills, replenishment, vending and stock routines to meet customer needs.
  • Apply training to ensure work is performed safely and to a high standard.
  • Participate in seasonal, community and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
  • Be knowledgeable about store performance and collaborate to deliver profit.
  • Represent the values of the company, make customers feel welcome, and follow policies.
  • Clock in and out at the start and end of shifts to ensure accurate pay.
  • Follow security procedures and wear safety equipment where available to keep colleagues and customers safe.
  • Adhere to the Think 25 policy when serving age-restricted products.
  • Respond quickly to assistance calls or interventions on self-service checkouts and explain actions to customers.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy and organized store environment, keeping aisles clear.
  • May be responsible for running the shift in the absence of the Shift Leader and Store Manager at certain times.
  • Follow training to keep self, others and the store safe and legal.
  • If the store has a Post Office Local, duties include day-to-day Post Office operations; if checks fail, the job offer may be withdrawn.
