Package Description:

The Old Stoic Society, the Alumni Association for Stowe School, are seeking a dynamic and highly organized individual to lead our OS Summer Work Placement Programme and online mentoring services. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact by connecting Stoics and Old Stoics with valuable career development opportunities. This role will be based in the Old Stoic Office at Stowe, working 15 hours a week during term time only.

About the Role

You will plan and deliver the annual work placement programme, grow a network of host companies, and promote opportunities to pupils and alumni. A key part of the role is building and maintaining strong professional relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including Old Stoics, parents, pupils, and host organisations. You will also manage our online mentoring platform and collaborate with the Stowe Futures team to support careers education within the School.

What We’re Looking For
  • Educated to A-level or higher, with excellent written English.
  • Proven experience in programme coordination, event planning, or careers/employability services.
  • Outstanding relationship-building skills and confidence engaging with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Competence in CRM systems, spreadsheets, and basic data management tools.
  • Proactive, empathetic, and approachable, with a professional and engaging manner.

Desirable: Experience in careers advice, marketing, safeguarding principles, and knowledge of work experience schemes.

Stowe School

Stowe School occupies Stowe House and approximately 200 acres of the Stowe estate and is located in Stowe’s world-famous landscape gardens set in 880 acres. Stowe School is an independent co-educational boarding School with approximately 900 pupils. There are around 500 full and part-time staff with 60 staff and their families living on site. The Stowe Group of schools (Stowe, Ashfold, Swanbourne House and Winchester House) are situated on four separate sites in Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire and educate children from 3-18 years.
