Job description
What You'll Be Doing

Joining our dynamic Mechanical Solutions division, you\'ll play a key role in ensuring all equipment is maintained, tested, labelled, calibrated and ready for delivery. As an Offshore / Onshore Electrical Technician, you\'ll be responsible for carrying out critical hydraulic and electrical safety tests, and commissioning where required.

While onshore, you will work from our Thainstone workshop and will travel to offshore locations as required to operate, service, maintain, function test and repair mechanical solutions equipment while on client projects.

Some Of Your Responsibilities Will Include
  • Inspecting, testing, repairing, and preparing Solutions equipment
  • Performing necessary maintenance activities as needed, ensuring proper documentation
  • Commissioning new equipment and premob equipment as required
  • Completing necessary paperwork, including maintenance reports, timesheets, expenses, and customer satisfaction forms
  • Attending mobilisations, providing technical support and on-call support as needed to customers
  • Interfacing with the client’s representative at the offshore site, for planning, organising, and executing the work
  • Participate in pre/post-job reviews, ensuring risk assessments are done and corrective actions are implemented

What Experience You\'ll Bring
  • Qualification in electrical engineering or other similar electrical subject
  • Experience in a technician role undertaking repair, maintenance, and testing, preferably in subsea equipment
  • Ability to read and implement engineering drawings
  • Problem-solving capabilities and excellent verbal and written communication skills
