OCDEA / SAP Assessor

Location: Remote

32,000 - £38,000

My client is seeking an OCDEA / SAP Assessor to join their growing energy-assessment team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of residential energy modelling, Part L Building Regulations, and low-carbon design principles.

Key responsibilities
  • Produce accurate and compliant SAP assessments and EPCs for new-build residential projects.
  • Model energy performance using approved SAP software and ensure all calculations meet current Building Regulations and industry standards.
  • Review specifications and construction details to identify compliance risks and optimisation opportunities.
  • Advise design teams, developers, and contractors on energy-efficiency measures, fabric improvements, renewable technologies and low-carbon strategies.
  • Prepare and submit SAP reports, compliance summaries and associated documentation.
  • Liaise with clients, internal teams, building control and other stakeholders to ensure smooth progression of assessments from concept to completion.
  • Maintain high levels of accuracy, record-keeping and quality assurance across all assessments.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in Part L, SAP methodologies, emerging energy standards and relevant legislation.
What we're looking for
