This full-time role involves delivering patient activities, assisting with therapy, and implementing care plans. The successful candidate should be passionate about providing excellent care. Competitive salary starts at £28,612.50 per year, along with various employee benefits.
We are looking for a confident Occupational Therapy Assistant with a passion for delivering outstanding care.
You'll be working full‑time, making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Cygnet Hospital Woking.
Cygnet Hospital Woking offers a range of mental health services for men and women. Cygnet Lodge Woking, our sister hospital close by, provides a high dependency inpatient rehabilitation service for men and extends our care pathway.
Cygnet Woking is a 94‑bedded hospital with a variety of wards, including locked rehab, low secure services, acute services and a female PICU. We have a designated qualified OT and OTA on each ward as well as Activity Coordinators supporting the activities around the hospital.
We are currently recruiting for an Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our Occupational Therapy Team to support recovery in the integrated care pathway at Cygnet. You will be required to work across different service lines with opportunity for rotation as you progress within the role.
Under the leadership of our occupational therapy directors we support over 150 Occupational Therapists and over 300 OT support staff. Working together as a large team, we provide support to each other across the group, with the opportunity to be part of specialist interest groups and become involved in service development.
Starting a new job can be daunting, which is why we have a robust induction process that enables you to shadow staff, discuss your learning and receive expert support to develop into your role. We offer an Occupational Therapy Assistant preceptorship programme in your first 12 months to support and consolidate core skills. We also offer regular, virtual Q&A sessions with our clinical lead OT and networking with other OT Assistants and Activity Coordinators in your service line.
The successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS and reference check and an offer of employment will be subject to successful clearance.
