Job Title

Occupational Therapist

Location

Riseley Green School – Berkshire RG7 1QF including cross site work to support a new OFG school which is due to open within the Hampshire/ Surrey area in September 2026. Details tbc.

Salary

Up to £53,200 FTE DOE. *Please note- basic grade OT offers from £33,000+, Specialist from £39,500+ & Highly specialist from £48,000+*

Hours

37.5 hours per week 8:30am - 4:30pm Mon - Fri

Contract

Permanent (Term time only, or flexibility around full-time contract can be discussed based on your personal circumstances)

The role

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our in‑house clinical team at Riseley Green school. Working collaboratively with the education team, you will deliver and support the embedding of Occupational Therapy intervention for pupils who may have experienced developmental trauma, be neurodivergent or have SEMH needs. You will work to our pyramid model of delivery focusing on embedding clinical practice at a whole school level and be guided by the standards provided in the OFG Occupational Therapy Ways of Working. This will guide your practice within an education setting and clarify your roles and responsibilities, while taking into account the requirements of your governing and professional bodies. You will be supporting the delivery and implementation of stipulated Occupational Therapy provision on students' Educational, Health & Care Plans (EHCPs) with the full support of your designated clinical supervisor and Lead Clinician, also contributing to staff training and providing consultation as required. This post would suit a resilient, creative, flexible and enthusiastic individual.

Location (details)

Role will initially be to support Riseley Green School – Berkshire, Riseley Green forms part of our Options Autism brand and is an independent specialist day school, supporting children and young people aged 4 – 16. The successful candidate will also support the setting up of new Options Autism OFG schools planned for September 2026. Some flexible and cross site working will be required.

Essential Criteria
  • Recognised Occupational Therapy degree
  • Valid and up to date HCPC Registration
  • Registered member of RCOT
  • Relevant experience in providing occupational therapy services within a similar setting is preferrable
  • Previously engaged with people who are neurodivergent and/or experience learning difficulty and/or socio‑emotional and mental health difficulties in any setting, being able to evidence transferrable skills
  • Sound knowledge and clinical understanding of OT theory and its practical application to support independence
  • Experience of multi‑professional work with teams or services within the designated speciality preferred
  • Ability to work independently, flexible and confident
  • Clear and concise report writing skills
  • Interest in sensory integration or sensory‑informed practice (SI practitioner training in progress or completed is preferrable, however not essential)
