Job Description

Our client is a prominent and fast‑growing environmental compliance company with a broad national presence. They are actively seeking a high‑calibre, competent and versatile Occupational Hygienist to work in Chesterfield. Applications are welcomed from Mansfield, Chesterfield, Macclesfield, Derby and surrounding areas.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Strong technical, consultancy and educational background – graduates considered.
  • Hands‑on experience with COSHH risk assessment, local exhaust ventilation testing, workplace air monitoring, noise and hand‑arm vibration, whole‑body vibration, indoor air quality.
  • Qualified Occupational Hygienist holding BIOH/IOA or equivalent qualifications. Training will be offered to the right candidate.
  • Good communication, client‑facing and organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of health & safety procedures across involved industries.
Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake a wide range of occupational hygiene projects such as workplace assessments, air monitoring, COSHH assessments, noise/fumes/dust surveys, hand‑arm vibration surveys, local exhaust ventilation examination & testing, indoor air quality and emissions testing.
  • Conduct site assessments and liaise regularly with clients.
  • Manage projects effectively and within defined timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with MCERTS standards and that all work aligns with health & safety procedures and legislation.
