Occupational Hygienist / Consultant

Location: Dartford, Kent.

Salary / Benefits: £25k – £40k + Training + Benefits

A leading independent Environmental Consultancy who works hard to provide their Commercial and Industrial clients with high standards of work, is now seeking to recruit an Occupational Hygienist to join their South East team. Our client is looking for someone who holds an industry recognised qualification, and will be experienced in COSHH assessments, HAVS, Air monitoring and testing of indoor quality. For the right candidate, our client can offer further training, and cross training into other environmental sectors, loyalty schemes and company pension.

Consideration will be given to candidate from: Gravesend, Gillingham, Chatham, Croydon, Maidstone, Tonbridge, Epsom, Crawley, Brentwood, Maldon, Chelmsford, Cheshunt, Harlow, Basildon, Southend on sea, Horsham, Reigate, Guildford.

Experience & Qualifications

• At a minimum will hold 1-2 BOHS modules relating to Occupational Hygiene e.g., W501, W503, W505, P601.
• Experience working for a reputable environmental accompany working as an Occupational Hygienist is beneficial to the role.
• IT literate.
• Will have excellent communication skills.
• Able to organise workload efficiently.

The Role

• Working on a range of Industrial and Commercial sites carrying out Air Monitoring, COSHH, noise, fume, dust, HAVS assessments.
• Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) examinations.
• Testing of indoor air quality, emissions, and legionella testing.
• Ensuring to carry out in line with Health and Safety Legislations.
• Gathering information from site, producing detailed reports.
• Building professional relationships with clients.
