Occupational Health Technician

Location: Derby (with occasional UK travel)

Salary: £25,000 - £27,000 + Benefits

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (typically 8am-6pm)

We are working with our client to recruit an Occupational Health Technician to join their expanding team. This role is primarily based in Derby, delivering high-quality health surveillance services, with minimal UK travel and only occasional overnight stays.

You will receive a comprehensive three-week training and induction programme, supported by ongoing mentoring to ensure you feel confident and supported in your role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out a range of health surveillance activities, including audiometry, spirometry, vision screening, and baseline health assessments.
  • Accurately document results and support effective clinical decision‑making.
  • Maintain and calibrate equipment to required standards.
  • Support wider occupational health and health promotion activities.
Requirements
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Full manual UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle (minimum of 12 months driving experience essential, due to our client's insurance policy).
  • Willingness to travel locally and occasionally nationally, with limited overnight stays.
