An energy company in Scotland is looking for a Control and Instrumentation professional. You will manage contractor works and carry out maintenance duties at the Markinch CHP Biomass Plant. The role requires effective communication, safety awareness, and relevant qualifications, including HNC in Control and Instrumentation. The salary ranges from £50,000 to £58,000 annually, with up to a 10% bonus and attractive benefits, including private medical insurance and 25 days annual leave.
RWE operates the Markinch CHP Biomass Plant, which has an installed electrical capacity of 61MW and is the largest recovered wood CHP plant in the UK.
The facility operates using around 400,000 tonnes of biomass annually. The energy generated derives from approximately 90% post-consumer waste wood, with the remaining portion consisting of sustainably harvested forestry residues from within Scotland.
This role will predominantly be a day’s role, with occasional overtime required.
