A leading NHS healthcare provider in Greater London is seeking an experienced nurse with dual qualifications in Mental Health and Adult Nursing for a senior clinical leadership role. The successful candidate will oversee three older adult mental health wards, promote excellence in care delivery, and drive workforce initiatives. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential as well as significant leadership experience. The Older Adult Mental Health Service across Westminster, Kensington and Chelsea is currently going through a period of transformation and as part of this we are offering this exciting opportunity to join us and be key part of the Multi-Professional Team.
You must be a Registered Nurse - dual qualified RMN and RGN - with a significant amount of experience working in and managing Older Adults inpatient setting.
We are looking for an individual who can drive forward clinical excellence in both mental and physical health care.
To provide strategic clinical leadership and operational oversight across three older adult mental health wards, driving excellence in care delivery, workforce development, and service improvement. The post holder will champion integrated physical and mental health care, ensuring compliance with national standards and Trust priorities.

Act as the senior clinical lead for nursing across the wards, ensuring adherence to CQC standards and Trust policies. Provide expert input on complex cases, utilising dual training to deliver holistic care. Lead clinical audits, risk assessments, and safeguarding processes. Participate in research and development Promote the Trust at local and national levels where appropriate through research audit national initiatives and projects Set monitor and review quality and performance standards. Ensure resource use affectively across the older adult wards and be aware of and work within budgets. Be an authorised signatory as required. Drive workforce planning, recruitment, and retention strategies. Ensure robust escalation and incident management systems are in place.
Demonstrate competence in clinical, diagnostic and examination skills, making recommendations for management of patients independently and in consultation with medical staff
Lead on implementing evidence-based practice and service redesign initiatives.
Monitor KPIs and develop action plans to address performance gaps.
Champion patient safety, experience, and outcomes through continuous improvement.
Act as a professional role model, providing mentorship and clinical supervision.
Support staff development through training programmes and competency frameworks.
Promote a culture of learning and reflective practice.
Registered Nurse with dual qualification (Mental Health and Adult Nursing).
Significant leadership experience in older adult mental health services.
Proven ability to manage complex clinical and operational challenges.
Strong knowledge of NHS governance, quality standards, and financial management.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
Master’s level qualification or equivalent experience.
Experience in service transformation and quality improvement projects.
