Overview

An employment opportunity has arisen for a Senior Healthcare Support Worker in Wythenshawe Out of Hours Team.


We are looking for a keen and motivated individual to join a friendly team. Flexibility to rotate between Nights and Days shifts is essential.



Responsibilities


  • Support Inpatient wards and Emergency Department with patient care directly and indirectly.

  • Contact with patients and medical staff requiring good communication skills.

  • Clinical skills include Bloods, Cannulation, ECGs, Blood gases, Observations and attending emergencies, among others.



Qualifications


  • Educated to NVQ level 3 or equivalent in healthcare with relevant clinical experience and an enthusiasm to learn.

  • Basic IT skills are an essential part of the job.

  • Previous experience in an acute setting would be advantageous but training will be provided.

Development & progression

On joining MFT, you’ll be supported to develop your knowledge and skills through our Support Worker Development Programme for Nursing Assistants, including completion of the Care Certificate for those who have not completed it previously. This can lead to progression to a Band 3 Nursing Assistant role. Experienced Nursing Assistants will have a skills analysis on start and access to relevant modules to progress to a Band 3.
