Overview

We are looking for a Nursing Assistant to support the multidisciplinary team caring for couples undergoing fertility investigations and treatments. The role involves clinical duties in IVF theatre, procedure rooms, and recovery areas, as well as chaperoning, outpatient clinics, and general housekeeping. The assistant will work closely with Registered Nurses and the administrative team to manage patient communication and ensure high levels of nursing support access.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the IVF theatre, procedure rooms and recovery area.
  • Chaperone and support outpatient clinics.
  • Perform general housekeeping tasks.
  • Collaborate with Registered Nurses and the administrative team to manage patient communications.
  • Ensure a high level of access to nursing support for patients.
  • Monitor and anticipate patients’ needs within the boundaries of the Human Fertilisation & Embryology Authority (HFEA) guidelines.
  • Work under the direction of qualified nurses to undertake nursing administrative duties and implement clinical care planned by Registered Professionals.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years clinical experience.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health (or equivalent).
  • Basic IT competence.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to provide high‑standard, patient‑centred care.
  • Proactive approach to monitoring and anticipating patients’ needs.
Preferred
  • Female candidates are preferred because of the sensitivity of the work.
