Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time (Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week)
Location: South East London
Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications
Start Date: As soon as possible

Are you a qualified Early Years practitioner who speaks fluent German or has a good level of German? Are you passionate about child-led learning, language development, and outdoor education? If so, we’d love to welcome you to our team at The German Kindergarten London! We’re a bilingual German-English nursery with settings in South West, South East and East London, where children explore, play, and grow in a nurturing, nature-inspired environment. Our approach is rooted in learning through play, and we’re looking for someone who shares our values and enthusiasm for early childhood development.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Nursery School Teacher, you’ll take an active role in leading learning experiences, supporting children’s development, and ensuring every child feels secure, inspired, and cared for. You can expect to:

  • Deliver engaging, play-based learning aligned with the EYFS framework
  • Create and lead creative activities that challenge and support each child’s development
  • Build strong relationships with parents and act as a key worker
  • Maintain accurate developmental records for your key children
  • Help ensure all safeguarding and welfare policies are followed
  • Support children’s communication skills in both German and English
We’d Love to Hear from You if You:
  • Speak German fluently (or at a very good level)
  • Hold a Level 3 or higher Early Years qualification
  • Have previous experience working with children, ideally in a nursery setting (e.g., as a nursery practitioner or nursery nurse)
  • Are passionate about child development, language learning, and outdoor play
  • Are comfortable working in a predominantly German-speaking environment
  • Are enthusiastic, proactive, and enjoy being part of a supportive team
