Job description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join an excellent nursery based in Paignton. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education with either a level 2 or 3 qualification or equivalent and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the development of children in the nursery setting. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational experiences of our youngest learners.

WE ARE RECRUITING BOTH FULL AND PART TIME POSITIONS

YOU MUST HOLD A LEVEL 3 QUALIFICATION IN CHILDCARE / EARLY YEARS OR EQUIVILANT FOR THIS ROLE.

Job Title: Early Years Practitioner
Location: Paignton
Job Type: Full-time 40 hours / Part Time 24 hours - Permanent
Salary: £25,960 - £26,200 per annum

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care and education to all the children.
  • Plan and implement engaging activities to support early years development.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment.
  • Monitor children's progress and communicate effectively with parents/carers.
  • Observe and assess children's development, providing feedback to parents and guardians.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and EYFS guidelines.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience working in a childcare setting.
  • Paediatric First Aid certification.
  • Understanding of child-led learning approaches.
