Job description

We’re looking for a qualified Nursery Practitioner Level 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 (called Early Years Educator to EYT or QTS) at our beautiful and inspiring nursery in Hampton Court. 4 or 5 days a week.

This position has opened up due to a practitioner relocating to another part of the country, so this is a rare opportunity to join our small, dedicated team at Hampton Court.

Here at The Butterfly Patch, we are a privately-owned nursery group with six settings in Croydon, Cobham, Hampton Court, Morden, South Norwood and Sutton.

Responsibilities
  • To treat every child as a unique person whilst respecting their rights, choices, religion, cultures and different stages of development and capabilities
  • To be able to laugh, cry and play. To be approachable, calm and a good role model. Play, learn, grow and be.
  • Ensure the highest possible quality of education, care, hygiene, and safety whilst upholding all safeguarding and whistle-blowing regulations.
  • To foresee and help identify any needs or additional needs of the children and give physical, emotional, and intellectual guidance in partnership with parents.
  • To observe, interact and assess (where applicable) a child’s progress and to plan for activities to support and challenge, putting learning through play.
  • To be a team player and support each other in any way possible.
Benefits
  • £28,000 to 35,000 per year depending on skills, qualification, experience, enthusiasm and dedication. (Higher salaries available for EYT or QTS)
  • Time and a half (1.5x) over-time available.
  • 31 days holiday a year, birthday off or double pay if you celebrate at work with the children.
  • Wage advance service – get paid anytime in the month!
  • 24/7 private video GP service.
  • Mental health (face-to-face), physical health and financial health support and legal advice.
  • Life insurance.
  • 40-60% childcare discount.
  • Discounts online and on high streets.
  • Training at least twice a year, apprenticeships, and further education available. Great career opportunities to progress, learn and earn.
Requirements
  • Minimum level 2 NVQ in childcare qualification.
  • Good written and spoken English.
  • Subject to DBS check (we pay).
  • Subject to references.
  • Positive, proactive, and reliable.
  • We are an equal opportunities employer.
