Job Title: Nursery Nurse / Teaching Assistant

Location: Newham
Salary: £90 – £105 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Long Term, Full Time (8:30 am – 3:30 pm)

GSL Education London Branch is excited to be recruiting a Nursery Nurse/Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Newham. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and caring Nursery Nurse/Teaching Assistant who is passionate about early years education and making a positive difference in young children’s lives.

As a Nursery Nurse/Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the Early Years team to support children’s learning and development, provide 1:1 SEN support, and help create a safe, happy, and stimulating environment. This long-term position offers stability, progression, and the chance to grow within a successful academy trust.

Responsibilities

• Support children in the Early Years classroom
• Assist with planning and delivering engaging EYFS activities
• Provide 1:1 SEN support when needed
• Help maintain a positive, safe, and nurturing learning environment
• Work closely with teachers and staff to follow school policies
• Encourage children’s social, emotional, and educational development
• Communicate clearly with staff, children, and parents

Requirements

• EYFS knowledge and experience
• Recent experience as a Nursery Nurse or Nursery Nurse/Teaching Assistant
• Ability to deliver 1:1 SEN support
• Able to follow school behaviour and safeguarding policies
• Confident working as part of a team
• Good spoken and written English
• Potential to secure a permanent contract
