Overview

Key Stage Teacher Supply are working in collaboration with the Directors of a Nursery attached to a school, with wrap around care, in Leyland, with their recruitment of a Nursery Manager to join their team, full time, from January 2026.

The position will either be temporary to permanent, or straight to a permanent contract, for the right person.

The Nursery is term time only - but if contracted, would be salaried all year round (pro-rata).

Responsibilities
  • To be responsible for the daily smooth and efficient Leadership, and Management of the Nursery
  • To promote the nursery, school and company to all customers and visitors
  • To lead, motivate, inspire and manage the team within the nursery, in a manner consistent with their conditions of employment, ensuring their roles and responsibilities are fulfilled
  • To demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of all policies and procedures relating to the EYFS
  • To be aware of the registration and regulatory requirements of the nursery as part of Leyland St James Nursery and after school club
  • To lead effective communication which enables the smooth running of the nursery and to lead and organise regular team meetings
  • To oversee the nursery enrolment procedures for new families, including prospective customer visits, enrolment administration and child induction processes
