- Experience: Minimum 3 years management experience (required)
- Shift patterns: 8 - 6pm
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day management of the nursery, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment.
- Lead, support, and supervise staff to deliver high-quality early years education and care.
- Ensure full compliance with all statutory regulations and guidance, including the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Develop and implement effective policies and procedures aligned with current legislation and best practices.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of provision and take appropriate action to address any areas for improvement.
- Plan, implement, and review purposeful and age-appropriate activities that support children’s development.
- Maintain accurate records for children, staff, and operational procedures.
- Build strong, positive relationships with parents, carers, and the wider community.
Qualifications
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education (e.g. NVQ, NNEB, or equivalent).
Knowledge & Skills
- Excellent understanding and practical experience of the EYFS framework.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements for early years settings.
- Ability to develop, implement, and review policies and procedures in line with best practice and inspection requirements.
- Strong planning skills to ensure purposeful, child-centred activities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with staff, parents, and external agencies.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently.
- Competent IT skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
