Overview

Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear, England, NE3

Job type: Permanent – full time or part time available (Mon-Fri). Mixture of remote and assessment centre working to support a healthy work-life balance.

Role: Nurse Functional Assessor

Salary: £37,800 per year (full time)

Job Responsibilities
  • Use clinical experience to assess claimants applying for Work Capability Assessment (WCA) as part of the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) Health Assessment and Advisory Services (HAAS).
  • Complete assessments with individuals with a broad range of health conditions, including some assessments conducted remotely.
  • Interpret medical evidence, gather findings, and compile comprehensive reports to support DWP decision-making.
  • Work autonomously in an office environment and remotely to carry out detailed, meaningful, and respectful assessments over the telephone, video, or face-to-face.
Requirements
