About the role

New Product Introduction (NPI) Executive Buyer at Mirus Aircraft Seating plays a pivotal role in supporting the planning, execution, and delivery of new and ongoing programmes. By working closely with Engineering, Quality, and Production, you will source and develop suppliers, negotiate commercial agreements, and manage the procurement of materials and components critical to programme success. This position offers an opportunity to apply your NPI and procurement expertise within a growing aerospace manufacturer, driving cost efficiency, supplier performance, and on‑time delivery in a highly regulated and innovative environment.

Responsibilities
  • Manage procurement for NPI projects, ensuring supplier readiness from pre‑production to delivery in line with programme schedules.
  • Plan and execute procurement activities, defining goals, work plans, and development milestones.
  • Ensure manufacturability, cost targets, and quality standards are met; source, develop, and manage suppliers capable of meeting aerospace quality, delivery, and cost requirements.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and supply agreements to secure value while protecting business interests.
  • Act as liaison across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure seamless communication and execution.
  • Maintain accurate ERP data (BOMs, lead times, costings) and create programme tracking tools, KPIs, and gateway review presentations.
  • Identify, monitor, and report procurement and supply chain risks and opportunities, supporting both short‑term builds and long‑term strategies.
  • Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Project or Programmes Coordinator or NPI Executive in a programmes/purchasing buyer role.
  • Knowledge of supplier development, sourcing strategies, and cost management.
  • A solid understanding of fundamental project management tools and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and MS Office; Business Central experience is an advantage.
  • Confidence in generating data‑driven reports and delivering clear, concise updates to both colleagues and senior stakeholders.
  • Experience working in a highly regulated engineering environment such as aerospace or automotive sectors.
  • Ability to foster excellent relationships with internal stakeholders and work cross‑functionally with engineering and project teams.
  • Analytical and articulate communication skills, with comfort using data to support discussions.
