About the Role:

Techner is looking for an experienced Nokia VoNR Expert to join our team supporting 5G Standalone (SA) network deployments. This fully remote role focuses on VoNR optimization, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting across Nokia AirScale networks for U.S. and Canadian operators. You’ll work closely with engineering and operations teams to ensure top-notch voice service quality and network performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Optimize VoNR performance across Nokia 5G SA networks and troubleshoot related issues.
  • Monitor VoNR KPIs such as call setup success rate (CSSR), call drops, voice quality, latency, and bearer setup failures.
  • Analyze VoNR call flows, IMS interactions, and EPS fallback.
  • Use Nokia OSS tools like NetAct for performance monitoring and network health checks.
  • Perform log and trace analysis using Wireshark, Actix, Nemo, or similar tools to identify and resolve issues.
  • Prepare detailed performance reports, highlight issues, and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate with field teams, customers, and internal stakeholders to support VoNR-related tasks for U.S. operators such as Dish Wireless, AT&T, T-Mobile, or Verizon.
Requirements:
  • Candidates must be based in the USA or Canada.
  • 4–6 years of experience in Nokia 5G SA network operations, with hands-on VoNR performance monitoring and optimization experience.
  • Strong understanding of VoNR call flows, IMS interactions, and EPS fallback.
  • Familiarity with VoNR KPIs and performance monitoring tools.
  • Experience supporting U.S. operators on VoNR tasks is highly preferred.
  • Ability to analyze logs and traces and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Must be based in the USA or Canada and eligible to work remotely.

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical, or Computer Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Nokia OEM certification or relevant 5G VoNR experience preferred.
