We’re seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi Skilled Engineer to join our maintenance team on a commercial contract. As a Multi Skilled Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining plant, equipment, and building services across our client's sites.

About the Role:

As a Multi Skilled Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Identifying and managing risks associated with equipment on site, including updating drawings, identifying critical spares, and improving maintenance programs
  • Providing electrical and mechanical expertise to the maintenance department
  • Writing and following risk assessments and ensuring safe and accurate completion of tasks
  • Working on three-phase systems with voltages up to 440V and completing tasks on motors, gearboxes, valves, and other equipment
  • Using mobile devices to accurately project and complete tasks from the CAFM maintenance system
  • Liaising with onsite site services to manage building services-related issues
  • Performing ad-hoc duties as needed
Requirements:
  • Recognized or time-served apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering
  • Strong proven experience in manufacturing maintenance
  • Electrical competences/qualifications to a minimum of City and Guilds 236 Pt 1-2 Electrical qualifications to 18th Edition
  • Mechanical competences/qualifications to an acceptable standard to City and Guild's Mechanical
  • Good multi-skilled ability
  • Experience working on 3-phase motors, drives, and inverters
  • Hydraulic/Pneumatic experience
  • NVQ qualifications to Level 2, Electrical and Mechanical
  • Ability to supervise contractors and write risk and method statements
  • Ability to understand and write permits
