Job summary

A logistics company in Hemel Hempstead is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead night shift operations. Responsibilities include coordinating activities, managing stock, and ensuring health and safety standards are met. Ideal candidates will possess strong communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a flexible attitude. Experience in warehouse operations is preferred but not necessary.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of carpet handling & warehousing preferred, but not necessary.
  • Understanding of HGV loading.

Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate cutting board activities using the system.
  • Print despatch paperwork.
  • Liaise with other departments to solve issues.
  • Manage and lead warehouse shift teams.
  • Maintain and improve Health and Safety standards.
  • Responsible for stock taking and reconciliation.

Overview

NIGHT SHIFT

Warehouse Supervisor / Lead Warehouse Supervisor. We are looking to recruit the above role to be based in Hemel Hempstead on a permanent and full-time basis.

Overall purpose of job: To plan and carry out warehouse activities, To support the Operations Manager to store, cut and dispatch orders in accordance with agreed business plans.

Responsible for supporting the Operations Manager in meeting all warehousing and dispatching requirements within budgeted cost.

Working Hours: 22:00pm - 06:00am (Sunday to Thursday)

Reporting to: The Operations Manager

Responsibilities
  • Co-ordinate cutting board activities using the system.
  • Print Despatch paperwork.
  • Liaise with other departments/managers as necessary (Purchasing, Sales, Transport, etc.) to solve any issues.
  • To Manage and lead the warehouse shift teams
  • Lead a culture that is focused on maintaining and improving Health and Safety standards across the operation.
  • To manage stock, this includes responsible for stock taking and reconciliation. Responsible for incoming and outgoing goods.

You will need to have a flexible approach to your daily work load, be reliable and have a flexible attitude towards working hours, Including occasional out of hours stock taking duties.
