Location: Stockport Cheshire

Contract Type: Permanent Full-Time

Salary: OTE up to 41230 (Uncapped) 34000 basic plus 3000 productivity bonus and uncapped time saved bonus scheme (dependent on level) shift allowance

Hours: Monday Thursday 5:30pm 4:30am (42 hours per week)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Night Shift Technician to join a busy and professional workshop in Stockport. Working alongside a skilled team of technicians youll play a key role in performing vehicle health checks servicing and completing authorised repairs using the latest diagnostic equipment.

This position offers ongoing training professional development and opportunities to progress including access to manufacturer-accredited courses and EV qualifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out vehicle health checks using the latest technology.
  • Perform servicing in line with manufacturer standards and customer requirements.
  • Complete additional repairs as authorised by the customer.
  • Undertake warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
  • Road test vehicles to ensure all work has been completed to a high standard.
  • Accurately complete all job cards and relevant documentation.
About You
  • Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic (dealer or independent).
  • Full and valid UK driving licence.
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Able to maintain the highest standards of workmanship and efficiency.
  • Experience with diagnostics MOT or EV systems is beneficial but not essential.
  • Brand‑specific training will be provided.
