Job Title: Band 6 Physiotherapist in Emergency Department
Location: Leicester, UK
Salary: £26 per hour
Contract Type: Ongoing Contract
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, but part-time will be considered
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and formulate treatment plans for patients with frailty, musculoskeletal, and neurological conditions.
- Support the emergency department with rapid assessment and discharge planning to improve patient flow.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic patient care.
- Educate and advise patients and their families on exercises and mobility techniques to aid recovery.
- Maintain up-to-date patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare standards and protocols.
Requirements
- Qualified physiotherapist with a degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy.
- Recent UK experience within specialised physiotherapy.
- Registered with the HCPC as a physiotherapist to work in the UK.
- Must have NHS experience working in an acute hospital setting, specifically in the emergency department.
- Proficiency in assessing and treating a wide variety of patients, including those with frailty, musculoskeletal, and neurological conditions.
