This is a permanent position for a Criminal Solicitor (1+ PQE) who is eager to take on a client-facing role with the chance to grow a department, lead business development in new locations, and become part of a firm that truly invests in your long-term progression.

The role will involve:

• Representing clients at the Magistrates’ Court.
• Managing your own criminal caseload from initial instruction through to resolution.
• Delivering a compassionate, proactive, and professional client service.
• Supporting departmental expansion into new geographical markets.
• Contributing to the commercial success of the team through accurate time recording, billing, and reporting.
• Developing relationships with new clients and referrers to establish and grow the firm’s presence in new areas.

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Be a qualified Criminal Solicitor with at least 1 year of post-qualification experience.
• Hold a full UK driving licence (travel may be required).
• Have strong case management and organisational skills.
• Be commercially minded with a strong understanding of legal aid and private billing structures.
• Show ambition to grow with the department and contribute to its strategic development.
