Job Description
Asa New Business Underwriter, you must demonstrate a real desire to support our brokers, so we can ensure we remain the partner of choice in a challenging and competitive marketplace.The ability to design and implement bespoke service solutions that meet the individual needs of our potential customers is critical to our ongoing success.
You will be part of the UK & Ireland Global sales team, based in London, and will contribute to our sales processes from start to finish, to onboard new programmes to Atradius.
Such tasks include, but are not limited to :
- Liaising with our broker community to identify possible sales opportunities
- Conducting an initial assessment of opportunities, reviewing supporting documentation / underwriting data, and reporting your considerations to internal stakeholders.
- Structuring multinational insurance programmes and submitting proposals to senior management for approval.
- Maintenance of our CRM database, sales pipelines and other administrative requirements.
- Preparing quotation documentation, sales decks and other external correspondence.
- Working with our account team to identify and action opportunities for programme expansions with existing customers.
- Corresponding directly with prospects and brokers to present our solutions.
To do this effectively you will have, or be able to demonstrate good communication, organisation, and teamwork skills. You must have the ability to plan and execute your work independently and be able to react quickly to changing priorities.
This is a full-time position.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Required :
- Excellent organisation skills, with an ability to balance a range of tasks simultaneously, and work individually to hit deadlines / complete work independently.
- An ability to work with a diverse range of people, with different backgrounds, nationalities, and personalities – both internally and externally.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, and other Microsoft applications.
- Comfortable working with numbers and interpreting data.
- Relevant business experience or related degree
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach to sales opportunities
- Confidence balancing regular set deliverables with ad-hoc tasks, reacting to the dynamic nature of new-business with a multinational insurer.
- An interest in the world, how businesses operate internationally, how trade flows across borders and the risks different businesses face in transacting across the world.
- Right to work in the UK
Desirable
Experience within credit insurance and a strong understanding of policy structures is preferred, but not essential, as full training will be provided.
