New Business Broker - South Leeds / Hybrid

Role and responsibilities

Having known the Regional MD of this excellent commercial insurance brokerage for many years, I can confidently say, that he is an fantastic chap, no ego, very family oriented and committed to work / life balance and creating an enjoyable, fair and relaxed working environment, without the need to feel obliged to work long hours.

This is a brand new role which has recently opened up, suited to an individual with a commercial broking background, who enjoys focusing on the placement of new risks, going to market, negotiating with insurers etc. You will have a good all round commercial insurance knowledge and ideally be making progress towards the CII qualification (full study support will be provided).

An important element of this role, is your knowledge of the insurer market and your willingness to reach out to develop relationships with key underwriters; you will be full supported in being able to meet up with insurer contacts, attend networking events etc.

Ideal candidate

Ideal applicants will have at least 3 years commercial broking experience, be smart, professional and with a natural competitiveness and desire to "win every case". You will be strong communicator, able to liaise with and develop excellent relationships with your team, the Account Executives you\'ll be supporting and the wider insurer / underwriting arena.

Salary and benefits

This role comes with an excellent salary of up to circa £40k (potentially higher, dependent on experience) and with a full benefits package, flexible hybrid working and genuine long-term career progression with a growing business.
