At Babcock we’re working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Network Engineer at our Hawthorn site, near Corsham, Wiltshire.
As a Network Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. As a key member of our Network Operations team, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the contract to manage and operate Skynet, the UK Ministry of Defence’s (MOD) military satellite communications system and its associated ground stations.
On a day‑to‑day basis, you’ll be responsible for setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting network infrastructure that underpins the Skynet Satellite System, ensuring secure and reliable communications for defence operations.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week working Monday to Friday. Once confident in role, you will join a 1 week in 3 on‑call rota.
The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
