A UK recruitment agency is looking for a Network Architect in Coventry to assess the deployment of Network Access Control (NAC) and its consolidation with Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA). The ideal candidate has robust knowledge of network architecture, experience with micro-segmentation, and an understanding of both on-prem and hybrid cloud environments. This role requires strategic evaluation of security technologies to enhance enterprise network capabilities.

Qualifications

• Experience designing macro and micro-segmentation for both on-premise and cloud networks.
• Knowledge of hybrid cloud networks including on-prem and multi-cloud.
• Experience with designing NAC and ZTNA solutions.

Responsibilities

• Assess deployment options for NAC in conjunction with Universal ZTNA.
• Evaluate simplicity in micro-segmentation and data flow mapping.
• Consider implications of vendor consolidation for NAC services.
• Address SASE security risks and enable ZTA capabilities.

Job Description:

Should customer deploy NAC as a unique platform or consolidate with Universal ZTNA to deliver NAC in a more strategic way assuming physical NAC services are still deemed necessary

Responsibilities

• Assess whether NAC should be deployed as a unique platform or consolidated with Universal ZTNA to deliver NAC strategically, while acknowledging that physical NAC services may still be required
• Examine tolling to simplify the micro-segmentation approach for a hybrid cloud/on-prem and IT/OT enterprise (for delivery and management) and identify how tooling can be used for data flow mapping
• Evaluate whether, with segmentation and ZTNA in place, NAC is still needed in the corporate environment
• Consider consolidation implications when the customer has a CAB deployed outside the standard SSE stack and a SWG from a core SSE provider; weigh risks and benefits of consolidating to a single vendor SSE, including broader technology changes
• With SD-WAN delivery outside of our programme, address SASE security risks and explore how delivery can enable ZTA capability
