Location: Camberley, UK (Hybrid – Onsite 3 days per week)

Job Summary

Entelligence is seeking a Consultant – ONTAP SME to join our UK delivery team. In this role, you’ll leverage deep expertise in NetApp ONTAP storage technologies to design, support, and optimize enterprise storage operations for our strategic clients. You’ll work closely with client infrastructure and cloud teams to ensure reliable, high-performance, and secure storage environments that enable business success.

This position is ideal for a hands‑on consultant who thrives in hybrid work environments, values collaboration, and enjoys solving complex operational challenges in the enterprise technology space.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary ONTAP Subject Matter Expert for client storage environments, providing operational and strategic guidance.
• Deliver day‑to‑day operational support, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization across ONTAP storage systems.
• Design and implement storage solutions, capacity planning, and data management strategies aligned with enterprise requirements.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, virtualization, and cloud teams to ensure seamless data integration and availability.
• Execute storage migrations, upgrades, and configuration changes following best practices and change control processes.
• Maintain detailed documentation of storage configurations, procedures, and operational workflows.
• Proactively identify risks, performance bottlenecks, and opportunities for automation or service improvement.
• Support incident and problem management processes, ensuring SLA compliance and high customer satisfaction.

Provide knowledge transfer and mentorship to client operations teams and junior engineers.

Qualifications and Skills

Required

• Ability to work onsite in Camberley three days per week with strong communication and client‑facing skills.
• Proven hands‑on experience as a NetApp ONTAP Administrator, Engineer, or Consultant.
• Strong understanding of ONTAP architecture, storage provisioning, SnapMirror, SnapVault, and data protection.
• Experience supporting and troubleshooting large‑scale enterprise storage environments.
• Familiarity with storage networking protocols (NFS, SMB / CIFS, iSCSI, FC) and performance analysis tools.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to manage complex incidents independently.

Preferred

• NetApp certifications (e.g., NCDA, NCIE) or equivalent.
• Experience with automation frameworks (e.g., Ansible, PowerShell, Python) for storage management.
• Exposure to cloud storage integrations (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience in IT consulting or managed services environments.
