A social housing organization in Basingstoke is seeking a neighbourhood officer to be the main contact for customers. The role involves handling tenancy conditions, health and safety matters, and making referrals for additional support. Candidates should demonstrate strong customer focus and resilience, with a full UK driving license and vehicle access necessary. This full-time position offers a salary of £40,332 along with various benefits including a bonus scheme and private medical insurance.
As a neighbourhood officer, you'll be the main contact for your customers within your patch. As their go‑to person, they can talk to you about a range of matters in relation to their tenancy conditions, health and safety issues, rent/service charges, repairs and more.
The overall aim of this role is to help create attractive, safe and sustainable communities for our customers to live in. As part of this, you'll make sure we offer them good quality and "value for money" services.
You'll soon get to know and understand who our customers are and be able to identify the support they may need to keep their tenancies. You'll also recognise when you'll need to make referrals to the tenancy support team, so that things are put in place for customers to keep & maintain their tenancies.
As this role involves travel, a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use is a requirement. Business mileage will be paid. While you'll have a designated patch, all neighbourhood officers are expected to occasionally provide cover/support to other areas when needed.
We're VIVID! – We offer a vibrant, friendly, inclusive culture that supports, develops and attracts the best people.
