Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a Naval Combat Systems Engineer for a permanent role primarily remote with occasional visits to sites such as Portsmouth and Plymouth. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in naval combat systems, particularly Surface ship combat systems and familiarity with the Type 45 Destroyer. Responsibilities include NSIPS service delivery and conducting audits. This role may also be available as a long-term contract, negotiable rate within IR35.

Job description

Murray McIntosh are currently seeking a Naval Combat Systems Engineer to work for a client of ours on a permanent basis as detailed below :

In this role you will be working predominantly remotely but visiting a mixture of sites located in Portsmouth, Plymouth, Bristol & Frome a few times per quarter.

This role would suit an ex Petty Officer / Chief Petty Officer / Royal Navy Weapon Engineer.

Responsibilities

• NSIPS Service Delivery.
• Conducting of Ship / Submarine combat system audits.
• NSIPS related bid and enquiry work.
• Surface ship experience & ideally served on T45 or QEC platforms
• Comprehensive working knowledge of surface ship combat systems
• Previous experience of working on Type 45 Destroyer ships or similar is essential
• Working knowledge of surface ship and / or submarine combat systems
• Ability to understand and manage interface data in large quantities
• Wider capability area technical project work for naval system related activities.
• Capability Area TAF and enquiry work
• Ability to obtain SC clearance

This role can also be offered on a long term contract basis, rate negotiable but inside IR35.
