Overview
Role: Sales Leader in the designated area responsible for achieving/exceeding the sales budget, managing customer relationships, and delivering solutions within the scope of our contracts and market needs. This role emphasizes end-to-end sales processes, cross-functional collaboration, and alignment with quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement a plan to achieve or exceed the sales budget within the designated area, including lead generation, client needs assessment, managing product/client trials, quotation, follow-up, sale of equipment/solutions, and aftersales service requirements via Standard Contract or NEC 3/4 Framework Contract terms.
- Manage relationships with customers in the area, build partnerships, identify and satisfy customers\' needs, and maintain the use of Microsoft CRM Database as an essential tool.
- Promote solutions to technical and commercial stakeholders, identify opportunities, define customer requirements, negotiate terms, and ensure sales are closed.
- Complete all required sales reporting and Client Relationship Management documents.
- Act as a key member of the senior management team, providing support and input related to Sales, Marketing, and business development.
- Work closely with the Proposals and Capital Delivery teams and other office-based teams to ensure seamless service and growth in sales.
- Prepare and deliver pitches and presentations to foster interest with new clients.
- Participate in industry trade shows, events, and targeted marketing campaigns.
- Gather and report client feedback, market trends, and field insights to adapt and refine offerings for the UK&I markets.
- Apply the requirements of BS EN ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 as appropriate within your area of responsibility.
- Be responsible for Health, Safety, and Environmental aspects affecting self, employees, and projects under your control.
- Other duties as reasonably required by the company.
Qualifications
- Significant experience in developing sales and building strong customer relationships, ideally within the UK Water and Wastewater industry.
- Background in solution selling of wastewater capital equipment, spares, and service.
- Strong understanding of the needs of the municipal and industrial markets, including market structure and key customers.
- Sales Skills & Achievements: Proven ability to consistently achieve sales targets; self-motivated with the drive to work independently and achieve results.
- Technical & System Skills: Proficiency in ERP/CRM systems for customer relationship management and financial control.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities; excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport and maintain professional relationships.
