Overview

Are you an experienced Health & Safety Coordinator? Are you ready for the next step, whereby you would cover QHSE Advisors and expand your development? Happy to travel around the UK?

Here at GXO, we are looking for a National QHSE Coordinator to work with multiple sites in our Food & Drink business unit across the UK. You will provide cover for the Food & Drink QHSE Regional Advisor Team, whilst reporting directly to the Head of QHSE for the business unit. There is an exciting development plan to enable you to develop into QHSE Regional Advisor. Your key deliverables will be to support the Improved understanding of root cause and trends across all incidents within the BU. Document control gap analysis and action plan to address. Reduction of administration burden for the QHSE Team as a whole.

This is a full time, permanent role, working Monday to Friday 08:30 till 16:30. However, we do ask for some flexibility due to the nature of the role and travel!

Responsibilities

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • To support the root cause and trend analysis of personal injury, MHE and motor incidents using the health & safety compliance system and communicating effectively with the investigator(s) and site teams
  • Support BU site teams with QHSE action completion within specified deadlines and maintain a record
  • Management of the health and safety compliance system, ensuring key data is inputted by sites at the appropriate time
  • Support in the collation of data for various QHSE reports including but not limited to the end of year BU QHSE report and monthly executive QHSE board report
  • Participating and assisting with planned meetings, taking minutes and actions where appropriate
  • To promote a positive quality, healthy, safe, and environmentally focused culture throughout the BU by utilising Road to Zero tools
Qualifications

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health (essential); Diploma or equivalent (essential)
  • Current UK driving licence and flexible to travel
  • 18 months to 2 years experience in a similar role (desirable)
  • IT literate with experience of QHSE systems
