Our National Key Account Manager is seen as the face of Metro Bank for our networks, mortgage clubs and national broker firms. You will support the proactive growth, development and positioning of the Mortgage Business within the Intermediary market, whilst ensuring the delivery of AMAZEING service to our partners in a fully compliant way.

What you will do:
  • Responsible for the day‑to‑day management and performance of existing intermediary Distribution partners on a nationwide basis.
  • Ownership of the Metro Bank brand presence within a number of major networks, Mortgage Clubs and specialist distributors.
  • Identify new key partnerships within the specialist market and develop those, where applicable, into new channels of distribution.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to influence and manage at senior level of a key relationship.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge and awareness of the intricacies of Metro Bank’s specialist mortgage products and services, alongside that of the wider UK mortgage market, whilst seeking out opportunities to further develop the Bank’s proposition.
  • Work collaboratively within the business building successful relationships with the BDM team, MOPs, Underwriting, Legal, as well as Marketing and Comms Teams.
  • Attend, plan, support and deliver key account intermediary events, helping them to position the Metro bank message to their membership.
  • Monitor individual key account performance and take action where necessary to assist in the delivery of the agreed plan.

What you will need:
  • Knowledge and work experience gained within the intermediary mortgage sector.
  • Excellent mortgage product and policy knowledge
  • Business to Business relationship and management skills gained within the Intermediary Mortgage Market, either as a BDM or a Key Account Manager.
  • Comprehensive and detailed knowledge of the intermediary mortgage sector and the wider UK mortgage market.
  • Excellent mortgage product and policy insight, including a full understanding of the complexity of the specialist mortgage sector, alongside a strong knowledge of the intermediary market.
  • Up to date knowledge of compliance and mortgage regulation.
  • High standards of personal performance in the day‑to‑day execution of tasks.
  • Preferably CeMap qualified.
  • Ability to travel frequently within the UK and stay overnight when required.
