Job description

This lovely family based in Wandsworth, London, is seeking an After-school Nanny to care for their toddler, with a new baby expected in January 2026. The role includes all general nanny duties. The ideal candidate will have strong English skills, enjoy engaging the toddler in stimulating activities, reading, and play, and be confident preparing meals for both the child and the family. Experience with infants would be a bonus, as the family will soon welcome a newborn. A valid first-aid qualification is required for this position.

Work Hours

Monday to Thursday, from 3:00 pm. Full-time during school holidays – plus babysitting.

Duties
  • Picking the child up from school and transporting them to and from after-school activities, playdates, or appointments.
  • Bathing and maintaining proper hygiene for the child.
  • Engaging the child in interactive play, educational activities, and outdoor outings such as visits to the park.
  • Supporting homework and the child’s educational growth.
  • Putting the child to bed and assisting with bedtime routines.
  • Keeping the child’s bedroom and play areas clean, organised, and tidy.
  • Assisting with washing and organising the child’s belongings.
  • Preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks tailored to the child.
  • Cooking for the family.
Qualifications
  • Strong English skills.
  • Experience engaging toddlers in stimulating activities, reading, and play.
  • Confidence in preparing meals for the child and the family.
  • Experience with infants is a bonus.
  • Valid first-aid qualification.
