Overview

A lovely family in Notting Hill, London is looking for a full-time nanny-housekeeper to provide attentive care for their newborn, expected to arrive in October 2025. They’re seeking a responsible and nurturing professional with solid experience in newborn care, who can also manage household tasks smoothly.

Responsibilities

• General childcare for a newborn, including assisting with nappy changes and preparing bottles for infants.
• Bathing and maintaining proper hygiene for the children; ensuring safety, well-being, and development.
• Engaging the children in interactive play, educational activities, and outdoor outings such as visits to the park.
• Preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks tailored to the children; assisting with family meals, meal planning, shopping, and cooking (batch-prepared meals, ideally with a background in European cuisine).
• Keeping children's bedrooms and play areas clean, organised, and tidy.
• Household duties: ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of a private residence, routine floor care (sweeping, vacuuming, mopping), dusting and polishing, cleaning and sanitising bathrooms, kitchen cleaning, and laundry (washing, drying, ironing, folding).
• Washing, drying, and organising clothing and linens; making beds and replacing linens as needed; cleaning and organising dishware, including loading/unloading the dishwasher.
• Drop-off and pick-up to school and other activities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in newborn care.
• First aid qualification is required for this role.
• Commitment to 40 hours per week on a Monday to Friday flexible schedule.
• Knowledge of French or Spanish is a bonus; English-speaking applicants are equally welcome.
• Background in European cuisine is preferred for meal preparation.
