Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and inspiring music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

  • Lead extracurricular ensembles, including choirs, bands, and other performance groups.

  • Support students in experimenting with various instruments, music technology, and genres.

  • Prepare students for assessments, performances, and formal exams.

  • Track and nurture student progress, differentiating for diverse learning needs.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to incorporate music into wider school activities and events.

  • Communicate regularly with parents and carers to update them on student progress.

What We’re Looking For
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (preferred, but not essential).

  • Experience teaching music in a secondary school setting.

  • Proficiency in at least one instrument or strong vocal ability.

  • A genuine passion for music and a desire to motivate young learners.

  • Strong classroom management and excellent communication skills.
