Are you passionate about music and eager to inspire students to find their creative voice? We are seeking a dedicated Music Teacher to join our vibrant, inclusive secondary school community in Stevenage.
This role offers more than just teaching it's about igniting a love for music and encouraging students to explore, create, and express themselves. You'll be part of a thriving music department with talented students and supportive colleagues who share your enthusiasm for musical expression.
Deliver engaging and inspiring music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Lead extracurricular ensembles, including choirs, bands, and other performance groups.
Support students in experimenting with various instruments, music technology, and genres.
Prepare students for assessments, performances, and formal exams.
Track and nurture student progress, differentiating for diverse learning needs.
Collaborate with colleagues to incorporate music into wider school activities and events.
Communicate regularly with parents and carers to update them on student progress.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (preferred, but not essential).
Experience teaching music in a secondary school setting.
Proficiency in at least one instrument or strong vocal ability.
A genuine passion for music and a desire to motivate young learners.
Strong classroom management and excellent communication skills.
