Music Teacher – Dover

Bring the joy of music to Dover’s students! A secondary school in Dover is looking for an enthusiastic Music Teacher to inspire students up to KS5. Whether it’s classical compositions or modern melodies, you’ll create engaging lessons that nurture creativity and musical talent. Dover has long been a place of discovery, now it’s your turn to help students explore the world of music.

Contract: Full time – October start

Salary: £168.80 - £232.57 per day

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and dynamic music lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5.
  • Teach music theory, composition, and performance in an accessible and exciting way.
  • Lead individual and group music lessons, including instrumental tuition and ensemble activities.
  • Organise and direct school concerts, performances, and extracurricular music events.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate music into the wider curriculum.
  • Support students in developing their musical talents for exams, auditions, and performances.
Qualifications
  • A degree in Music or a related subject.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Experience teaching music in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of music theory, instrumental skills, and various musical genres.
  • Ability to inspire students and cultivate a love for music.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in organising performances and leading school music events.
